Our coffee and our training come from PT’s Coffee Roasters, nationally known for excellence. Our well-trained staff has a passion for coffee and a heart to serve people.
What is PT’s Direct Trade Program? Direct Trade is a new initiative that directly rewards farmers who produce exceptional coffee. Coffees with the Direct Trade seal have been carefully selected by PT’s, purchased directly from the producing farm, and imported at our expense. Through our Direct Trade Program, the artisan farmer receives a sustainable price for their product: Our paid price will exceed “C” market and/or Fair Trade price by at least 25%
How does a coffee qualify as a Direct Trade selection? Direct Trade coffees have exceptional quality as judged by PT’s. We will only select coffees scoring above 88 on a 100-point scale. A PT’s coffee representative must visit the farm at least once per harvest season, working directly with the farmer to help them improve the quality of their coffee. Direct Trade farmers must also be committed to responsible community and environmental practices.
What’s in it for you? A Direct Trade coffee means more of your purchase goes directly to the producing farmer. You are also guaranteed a highly delicious cup (or two) of coffee.
We regularly host coffee cuppings and participate in barista competitions. We are especially proud of our Clover brewer – the perfect way to showcase our excellent single-origin coffees.
